I was pressured into performing this frightening and ugly ritual recently, and fortunately for me, nothing happened. Although, the anxiety from the experience did affect my blood pressure to a certain degree.
When you think about it, there really is no reason to do this other than to see for oneself that the outcome is real. There's no payoff, like receiving some candy or toy (would I do it for that? Of course! I'm not a complete idiot.). The only reward you receive is either a bloody nose, an ear ripped off the side of your head, or dragged through the mirror into some hellish plane of existence with a person you wouldn't want to spend any time with.
To those of you who pressured me into engaging in this bizarre ceremony, NO, I will not do it again.
The only nightmare I'll engage in is the complex recipe of the cocktail.
(Okay, if you can promise me there will be an awesome prize, then I'll think about it.)
One of our favourite places to go on Saturday mornings. Weeeeee!
Beautiful old trees there so get off yer butt and go enjoy. NOW.
Well, it was the final day of the FineartZcamp and I already miss my friends. :)
That was so fun and what an amazing group of artists!
For the second year in a row, I'm VERY fortunate to be a part of the Chemainus Community School's FineartZ Camp. Tim Allen, one of the campers (and a student in my drawing classes) gave me this fantastic drawing of The Batman. It would do Mignola proud!
Thank you Tim! Very cool. :)
Crappy photo, but my camera battery died. :(
I painted robin wings. Just a bit of fiddling left to do on them.
On to the cap...
Just nixayed the goiteray. I didn't want the poor chap to look like he'd tripped from a pothole in the A&W parking lot and got a giant goose egg on his cheek!
Here's a close up. As you can see, there's some little things to be added, but that's funtimes, right?
Next his wings...
