The DVD collection of Johnny Sokko and his Flying Robot arrived via the mail yesterday. Way looking forward to it. It is refreshing to see television that isn't dragged down by trying to be well done in any way, and whose creators weren't restrained by quality of story, acting or a lack of budget.
Director: Okay, I'm making out a list of what you'll need for the FX.
FX Supervisor: Um...some model railroad trees, construction paper and play-doh.
Director: Great, I'll stop at Michael's.
FX Supervisor: No need, my grandma has some. She's dropping them off with an apple pie this afternoon.
